World no. 76 Elina Svitolina defeats world no. 1 Iga Swiatek to reach Wimbledon semis

World number 76 Elina Svitolina defeated world number one Iga Swiatek in the quarter-finals to reach the women's singles semi-finals at Wimbledon 2023. Svitolina won the match with a scoreline of 7-5, 6-7(5-7), 6-2 in two hours and 51 minutes. Svitolina entered the tournament on a wild card and had missed most of the last season due to maternity leave.
