World record set in Ayodhya with lighting of 5,84,572 diyas, pics surface

As many as 5,84,572 diyas were lit up along the banks of Saryu river in Ayodhya on the occasion of 'Deepotsav', a day before Diwali today. With this, the Guinness World Record for 'the largest display of oil lamps' was set, the Uttar Pradesh government confirmed. Last year, 4,04,026 earthen lamps were lit up in Ayodhya during 'Deepotsav' celebrations.
