World-renowned climber Nirmal Purja among 10 feared missing after avalanche on Pak's Broad Peak

World-renowned mountaineer Nirmal Purja is among 10 climbers feared missing after an avalanche struck Pakistan’s 8,047-metre Broad Peak on Thursday. Alpine Club of Pakistan said the international team has remained out of contact since the incident. The team includes American, Chinese, Omani and Pakistani climbers. Before the trip, Purja had said climbing Broad Peak wasn't in his initial plan.
