World's 1st T-Rex leather to be made from 80-mn-year-old fossils

VML, Lab-Grown Leather Limited and The Organoid Company have teamed up to create world’s first T-Rex leather from 80-million-year-old T-Rex fossils. Researchers are using fossilised collagen as a blueprint to engineer cells with synthetic DNA. A tissue engineering approach is being used to allow cells to form their own natural network, producing material that mirrors real leather's properties.
