National University of Singapore researchers have developed a fibre that acts as a pixel and a touch sensor. They integrated 54 such fibres into a sleeve to create what they describe as the world's first touchscreen built into a garment. The sleeve can display images and videos, respond to finger presses and connect wirelessly to other devices while remaining washable.
