World's heaviest cargo drone completes test flight in China

China conducted the first successful test flight of Changying-8 (CY-8), the world's heaviest multi-terrain cargo drone, on Tuesday at Zhengzhou Airport in Henan province. The drone designed for both military and civilian use is capable of short take-offs and landings as well as operating in high-altitude regions. CY-8 weighs 3.5 tonnes with a take-off weight of 7 tonnes.
