World's highest war memorial inaugurated in Galwan

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has inaugurated the Galwan War Memorial, a tribute to the 20 soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during a confrontation with Chinese troops in Galwan Valley in 2020. "Built at an altitude of 14,500 feet, [the memorial] is the highest memorial of its kind and...a powerful symbol of national gratitude," Major General Arindam Saha said.
