World's largest aircraft carrier returns to US after record deployment

USS Gerald R Ford, US Navy's most advanced aircraft carrier and largest warship in the world, docked at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, on Saturday. It completed an 11-month deployment, longest since Vietnam War, that saw it support US' war with Iran and capture of Nicolás Maduro when he was Venezuela's President. It had departed Virginia's coast on June 24, 2025.
