World's largest battery maker CATL raises $5 bn in Hong Kong

World's largest battery maker CATL has raised $5 billion (₹47,300 crore) in Hong Kong from a fresh sale of shares. The China-based firm sold 6.24 crore of its shares at a 7% discount from its previous closing price at HK$628.20 (₹7,580) apiece, Bloomberg reported. The fundraising marks the largest equity offering in Hong Kong this year and the second-largest globally.
