World's largest digital camera captures over 5,00,000 galaxies in one image

Chile's Vera C Rubin Observatory captured COSMOS field, which reveals over 5,00,000 galaxies and 50,000 stars in one image. Captured using Rubin's 3.2-gigapixel LSST Camera, world's largest digital camera, the image was constructed by layering hundreds of individual images on top of each other, with each additional layer of exposure gradually revealing faint, distant light.
