World's largest LNG producer halts operations, natural gas options jump 111% in India

QatarEnergy, the world's largest producer of LNG, announced that it's ceasing the production of natural gas amid the Middle East war. The company blamed military attacks on its facilities in Ras Laffan Industrial City and Mesaieed Industrial City in Qatar for the cessation of LNG production. Simultaneously, Indian natural gas options jumped 111.5%, while natural gas futures rose nearly 7.8%.
