World's largest open AI model lags US rivals in cybersecurity

A joint cybersecurity test by US and UK AI safety institutes found that Moonshot AI's Kimi K3, world's largest open-weight model, trails leading US AI models on advanced cyber benchmarks. The report said Kimi K3's safeguards failed to stop attempts at offensive cyber operations. Unlike the most cyber-capable models, Kimi K3 failed to develop exploits that achieved arbitrary code execution.
