World's largest snail is 72 cm long, as heavy as 3-year-old child
Guinness World Records confirmed that ‘Gee Geronimo’, a giant African land snail, as the largest land snail at 27.3 cm. However, marine species like the Australian trumpet shell grow much bigger, reaching up to 72.2 cm and weighing as much as a three-year-old child, making ocean snails far larger than their land counterparts. These snails inhabit Indo-Pacific waters.
