Hui Ka Yan, Founder of world's most debt-ridden property developer Evergrande Group, was once Asia's richest man with $45.3-billion wealth. Yan supported ventures like EVs and soccer, both Chinese President Xi Jinping's passions. He joined Hong Kong tycoons' "poker club", where he lost a lot but gained businessman Cheng Yu Tung's interest, who later helped Evergrande through a financial crunch.
