World's strongest El Niño on record could peak in November: China

China's National Climate Centre has forecast the strongest super El Niño event since instrumental records began, with sea surface temperatures expected to peak at 3.2°C to 3.5°C around November. It added that El Niño affected China's flood season this year and will continue influencing weather worldwide and domestically through autumn, winter and into next spring and summer.
