World's 1st DMV that can run on roads & rail tracks to make debut in Japan

World's first dual-mode vehicle (DMV) that can run on both roads and railway tracks is set to make debut in Japan's Kaiyo on Saturday. The vehicle runs on rubber tyres on road and steel wheels descend from its underbelly when it arrives at an interchange. It runs at a speed of 60km/h on rail tracks and around 100km/h on roads.
