World's biggest pearl found in Philippines

A 34-kilogram natural pearl, which is claimed by local officials to be the world's largest pearl, has been found in Palawan, Philippines. It was originally discovered by a Filipino fisherman, who was unaware of the gem's value and kept it as "good luck charm". Currently, the world's biggest pearl is the Pearl of Lao Tzu, which weighs about 6.4 kg.
