World's first transgender international cricketer McGahey retires after ICC ban

Danielle McGahey, the world's first transgender international cricketer, has announced the end of her cricketing career after the International Cricket Council (ICC) banned transgender persons from women's cricket. The 29-year-old Australia-born Canadian player said ICC's ruling sent out the message that trans women "don't belong". "I won't stop fighting for equality...in our sport," said McGahey.
