World’s first website, created by the inventor of the World Wide Web Tim Berners-Lee on August 6, 1991, is still running. It was dedicated to the World Wide Web project and was hosted on Berners-Lee’s NeXT computer. The website described the basic features of the web, how to access other people's documents and how to set up a server.
