World's largest snake found dead in Amazon rainforest, possibly shot by hunters
The world's largest snake, which was discovered in Brazil's Amazon rainforest in February, has been found dead. According to several reports, the giant anaconda was shot by hunters.
The 26-foot northern green anaconda weighed around 200 kgs and had a head the same size as a human's. The exact cause of death is currently being investigated, Professor Freek Vonk said.
