'World's oldest' rhino passes away at 57 in Tanzania: Officials
The world's oldest rhino, Fausta, passed away at the age of 57 in Tanzania, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority said. She was a free-ranging eastern black rhino, first spotted in 1965 by a scientist from the University of Dar Es Salaam. Fausta was brought in captivity in 2016 after her health deteriorated and she sustained several hyena attacks, the authority added.
