The Eh'hausl hotel in Amberg, Germany, which has just one bedroom, is recognised by Guinness World Records as the smallest hotel in the world. The hotel, that covers a floorspace of 53 square metres, also has a sitting area and a bathroom. Originally built in 1728, the hotel was renovated in 2008 as a luxury retreat, accommodating only two people.
