In 2010, Guneet Monga, nominated for her first Oscar for the short film 'Kavi', wrote numerous emails seeking sponsorship for tickets. "Every day I would write emails to textbook-rich people like Richard Branson, Ratan Tata," she recalled. "I got really frustrated and wrote to President Pratibha Patil...and...got a callback," she said. She finally got sponsorship from her office.
