X to end revenue sharing programme, unveils new rewards initiative

Social media platform X announced that it will discontinue its revenue sharing programme and replace it with a new initiative called the Original Content Rewards Programme. The platform said it stopped accepting revenue sharing applications, however existing participants will continue receiving payments till September 7. The new programme is aimed at awarding creators who produce original content.
