Xavi becomes Netherlands' first foreign head coach since 1978

Xavi Hernández has been appointed Netherlands head coach on a contract running through the World Cup 2030, the Dutch football federation said. The 46-year-old Spaniard will become the Netherlands' first foreign coach since Austria's Ernst Happel led the team at the 1978 World Cup. Xavi replaces Ronald Koeman and will take charge of a national team for the first time.
