Xbox lays off 268 employees in latest round of job cuts

Microsoft's Xbox division has laid off 268 employees as part of the major restructuring announced earlier this year, which is expected to impact 3,200 roles. The latest layoffs affected employees across Halo Studios, other first-party studios, and the XGS management and central functions layer. Activision, which Microsoft acquired for $69 billion, will now develop the next Halo title.
