Xbox to let players digitise their physical game discs

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma announced a new disc-to-digital feature allowing users to claim digital entitlements by inserting supported discs into Xbox One or Xbox Series X consoles and launching the game. Xbox Insiders will get early access from August 31. The move comes amid backlash over Sony's plan to stop producing physical discs for new PlayStation games.
