Xi Jinping skips PM Modi-hosted BRICS gala dinner, reason not known

Chinese President Xi Jinping skipped PM Narendra Modi-hosted BRICS gala dinner in Delhi on Saturday, with the reason for his absence unclear. A source suggested Xi had returned to his hotel to rest, PTI reported. He had earlier attended the summit and held a bilateral meeting with PM Modi. Russian President Vladimir Putin and other BRICS leaders attended the dinner.
