Xi pitches China's 'WAICO' as rival to US' Pax Silica, which India recently joined

Chinese President Xi Jinping's speech at the World AI Conference in China pitched newly established "World AI Cooperation Organisation" (WAICO) as a rival to US-led "Pax Silica". Launched with 29 member-states, Xi described WAICO as a "milestone in history of AI development". Notably, India in February signed Pax Silica Declaration, aimed at building secure supply chains for AI.
