Yahoo India shuts news operations after 20 years over foreign investment regulations

Yahoo on Thursday said it has ceased publication of content and shut down content operations in India, including Yahoo News, Yahoo Cricket, Finance and Entertainment, after around 20 years. Yahoo India was impacted by "new FDI regulations that limit foreign ownership" of media companies that publish digital content, it added. However, Yahoo Account, Mail, and Search experiences won't be affected.
