American technology company Yahoo has in the past made unsuccessful bids to acquire Google, YouTube, and Facebook. The company reportedly tried to buy Google and Facebook for $3 billion and $1 billion respectively. According to reports, Yahoo was interested in buying YouTube when Google announced its $1.65 billion acquisition of the video platform on October 9, 2006.
