Yak revival drive begins in Arunachal's town to boost livelihoods

Arunachal Pradesh government initiated a yak reintroduction drive in the remote Mechuka region. It aims to revive traditional livestock practices and generate sustainable livelihood opportunities for tribal communities. Six yaks, four females and two males, were distributed among selected farmers as part of the drive. It also covered 45 farmers through awareness sessions on scientific yak rearing.
