Yellow alert in Himachal as IMD predicts fresh snowfall, rains

IMD issued a yellow alert in Himachal Pradesh for Thursday and Friday, warning about thunderstorms and lightning over plains, low and mid hills in the state. The higher reaches in Himachal are likely to receive heavy snowfall till February 11, IMD added. The temperatures may also drop as a fresh western disturbance became active over the north-western Himalayas on Wednesday.
