Yes Bank shares fall 85% wiping ₹8,000 cr value, customers rush to withdraw funds

Shares of Yes Bank plunged as much as 85% to wipe out nearly ₹8,000 crore of market value on Friday as depositors rushed to withdraw funds after RBI took control of the bank. Police were deployed in some states to help control the crowds. Withdrawals are capped at ₹50,000 per depositor during the moratorium period which ends on April 3.
