YMCA co-writer Victor Willis, lead singer of Village People, passes away

Village People's lead singer Victor Willis has passed away following a "short but aggressive illness" on Monday, the disco group stated. Willis was the co-writer of the band's iconic song YMCA, which was played throughout US President Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign. The song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2021.
