After Afghanistan defeated England by eight runs and knocked them out of Champions Trophy 2025, Sachin Tendulkar wrote on X, "Afghanistan’s steady and consistent rise in international cricket has been inspiring!" Sachin added, "You can’t term their wins as upsets anymore, they’ve made this a habit now." Notably, Afghanistan had beaten England in ODI World Cup 2023 as well.
