You lost 56 Assembly polls before current SIR began: Irani on Congress

BJP leader Smriti Irani slammed Congress for raising doubts over the SIR exercise, saying, "Congress lost 56 State Assembly elections between 2014 and 2025 even before the current SIR exercise began." "Congress...whose 'Prince-in-Waiting' declared in 2025 that his fight was no longer against PM...Modi but against Indian State, has now refused to accept its electoral defeat," Irani added.
