You say 'Nari Shakti', show it: CJI to govt on woman officer's permanent commission plea

While hearing a petition by a female Coast Guard officer on permanent commission for women, Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud said, "You (Centre) speak of 'Nari Shakti', now show it here." Asking Centre to come up with fair policies, he added, "Why are you being so patriarchal?" SC said, "If women can guard borders, they can guard coasts."
