Young, attractive guy: Trump on Syrian leader who was a former UN-designated terrorist

US President Donald Trump met Syria's interim President, Ahmed al-Sharaa, former leader of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which was an offshoot of terror group Al-Qaeda. Speaking to reporters, Trump called al-Sharaa a "young, attractive guy" while adding, "Tough guy...Very strong past. Fighter." Trump further said he has a "real shot" at doing a good job with war-torn Syria.
