Youngest person to give birth was only 5 years old

Lina Medina is the youngest person on record to give birth after she delivered a baby on May 14, 1939, aged five. Doctors thought that Medina, who is believed to have been suffering from 'precocious puberty', had a tumour when her abdomen started growing. However, tests revealed she was seven months pregnant and she later gave birth through Caesarean section.
