Your phone's battery doesn't determine the price you pay for rides: Uber

Uber has responded after a report claimed that it increases the fares if users' phone battery is low. A Belgian newspaper claimed that Uber charged 6% more for a cab ride when booked from a smartphone with 12% battery remaining. "This is false. Your phone's battery life is absolutely not a factor in determining the price you pay," Uber said.
