You're like sisters: K'taka Speaker withdraws ‘rape victim’ remark

After disapproval from women MLAs for comparing himself to a "rape victim", Karnataka Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar said he has directed his office to remove his remark from the records. Adding he had no intention to cause pain to women, Kumar asserted, "All of you are like mothers and sisters." He also blamed media for "adding masala" to the issue.
