YouTube doubles watch-hour requirements for creators to earn money

YouTube announced changes to its Partner Program, which lets creators monetise channels. New creators will need 8,000 qualified watch hours, up from 4,000, over the past year, or 20 million qualified Shorts views in 90 days to earn money. Creators with 10 million qualified Shorts views in last 90 days will qualify for ads and subscription revenue sharing on Shorts.
