YouTube settles teen's social media addiction lawsuit in US

Google's YouTube has settled a social media addiction lawsuit filed by a 16-year-old from US' Florida, his lawyers said on Tuesday. The teenager had alleged that social media companies, including YouTube, designed their platforms to be addictive and caused him to suffer depression and anxiety. Other companies, Meta, Snap, and TikTok, are set to face trial next month.
