YouTube to remove community captions feature this September

YouTube has announced it will be removing its community captions feature in September stating that it's "rarely used and people continue to report spam and abuse". The feature lets anyone contribute translated video titles, descriptions, closed captions and subtitles. Less than 0.001% of channels have published community captions in the last month, YouTube added.
