YRF rejects ₹215-cr Netflix deal for direct OTT release of Alia-Sharvari starrer 'Alpha'

Yash Raj Films (YRF) has rejected a ₹215-crore deal offered by Netflix India for a direct-to-OTT release of Alia Bhatt and Sharvari starrer 'Alpha'. This comes amid the frequent delays in release of the spy-action film. Calling it a "tentpole" film, YRF spokesperson told Variety India the OTT release rumour "aims at putting a heroine-fronted film in an unflattering light".
