Yusuf Pathan 4th cricketer from India's 2011 World Cup-winning squad to join politics

Ex-India all-rounder Yusuf Pathan has become the fourth cricketer from India's 2011 World Cup-winning squad to join politics. Yusuf joined TMC and will fight Lok Sabha elections from Berhampore constituency. Gautam Gambhir had joined BJP in 2019, while Harbhajan Singh was nominated to Rajya Sabha by AAP in 2022. Sreesanth fought 2016 Kerala Assembly polls as a BJP candidate.
