Zee Entertainment shareholders reject proposal to reappoint Goenka as Director

The shareholders of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd have rejected the proposal of reappointment of CEO Punit Goenka as Director on its board. As many as 50.45% shareholders were against Goenka being reappointed as Director. Notably, the Zee-Sony merger deal collapsed earlier this year under Goenka, who resigned as MD on November 18.
