Zee sues Reliance-Disney over copyright breach, seeks ₹28 crore in damages

Zee Entertainment has sued the Reliance Industries-Disney joint venture for allegedly using its copyrighted music after licences expired, Reuters reported, citing court documents. The lawsuit seeks $3 million (around ₹28 crore) in damages, claiming JioStar used Zee's music across its streaming platform and some TV channels. A hearing in the matter is scheduled for July 23.
