Zelenskyy thanks Trump for asking Putin to pause attacks for a week

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked US President Donald Trump after he announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed to a week-long pause in fighting in the Ukraine war due to harsh winters. "Our teams discussed this in UAE...we expect the agreements to be implemented...de-escalation steps contribute to real progress toward ending the war," Zelenskyy said.
